Welcome to ESL at Watertown High School and Knickerbocker Elementary!

What is ESL?

ESL is a program that is used throughout New York State to further development and/or teach English to students whose families are familiar with a language other than English.  This does not always mean that the student can read, write, speak or understand another language, but that another language is present in their home.  We are an enrichment program, not remediaition.  Our goal is to further enrich your child with the English language within the New York State learning standards and content curriculum.
